We work it at the hour your slot falls, because the queue back from those lights is a different problem mid-morning and at school pick-up.
On the Road in Goodmayes
Middle sessions take the route both ways round: south down Goodmayes Road over the railway bridge, right into Kildowan Road, left down Granton Road to Green Lane, then along and back up to the High Road crossroads at the top, where Barley Lane meets it head on. Parked cars narrowing Goodmayes Road to one moving lane are the constant, and meeting oncoming traffic in it is practised rather than avoided.
The last days come down to the boxes on Goodmayes Road and not much else. At Kildowan Road, Kinfauns Road and Castleton Road you either hold back while the exit is blocked or you creep across, and creeping is what fails people from here.
