Living beside a test centre tempts people into booking the test early. Ten hours at £350 will not take a complete beginner to test standard, even on roads you can see from the window. Knowing Goodmayes Road is not the same as junction discipline under pressure.

Should I book my test at the centre on Goodmayes Road?
It is the obvious choice and usually the right one, since you will have learned on those streets. It is not automatically easier, though. Book when your instructor says the standard is there, not because the centre happens to be walkable from your front door.
