Pick-up is on Edward Road beside St Chad's Park. The first hour is the Mill Lane grid, then the High Road east through the shops to the Whalebone Lane crossroads. Break near the Eva Hart. The second half heads north up Whalebone Lane North towards the A12, comes back south, and finishes with a manoeuvre on West Road while the fast road is still fresh in your head.
Commuters who want the car for everything the Elizabeth line does not do, people working in the shops and offices along the High Road, and families on the Redbridge side of the boundary. Plenty book because a job has moved somewhere no train reaches, and a fortnight of blocks fits inside a notice period better than months of weekly hours.

Does the mock test cost extra on an intensive course?

Not usually, and it earns its hours anyway. The A12 there runs at fifty with left-turn slips pulling across the approach, and taking the wrong lane on Whalebone Lane North is the local mistake. What does get marked is whether your planning survives a change of speed limit, and nothing exposes that faster than the run up to it and back.
Do we use the A12 at the Moby Dick junction during the course?
Yes, from about the middle of the block. The first look happens at a quiet hour, going north up Whalebone Lane North so you can read the left-turn slips before committing to a lane. Once that choice holds, we come back at busier times, because fifty miles an hour is not a thing to meet first on test day.
Which council's parking rules apply where we practise?
Both, depending where you stop. The station straddles the boundary, so the High Road changes council as you drive along it, and the controlled bays run Monday to Friday, half past eight to half past five. It matters mostly at break time, which is why we use the Mill Lane grid rather than hunting for a space on the High Road.
