The middle hours run north-east up Redbridge Lane East to the top at Beehive Lane, right and south down the B192 Beehive Lane to the A12, then west along Eastern Avenue back to the Redbridge Roundabout. Do instructors change between lessons?

Does the A406 flyover change how the roundabout is driven?
It changes what you can see rather than what you do. The A406 crosses over the top, so you cannot pick out your exit from the approach and work from the signs and lane markings instead. That is why we drive it the same way round several times first, so the sequence is known before any pressure is attached.
Is Beehive Lane a good road for a learner to build up on?
One of the best around here. The B192 Beehive Lane runs south from Redbridge Lane East down to the A12, so it gives you a proper main road with junctions and a real flow to join, without the lane commitment the roundabout demands. It works as the step between the quiet avenues and Eastern Avenue.

Can we practise on the A12 itself during a lesson?
Yes, once you are ready, and it is a normal part of a course here rather than a special occasion. What we will not do is put a beginner onto it in the first few hours of a block.
