What You Actually Practise in Tower Hamlets
Beaumont Square and Ropery Street cover the manoeuvres, quiet and two turns from a main road. The lesson then mixes it deliberately, starting on the Isle of Dogs where the estate roads are all 20. The A1261 Aspen Way comes next at more than twice that speed, and the crawl along Commercial Road after it. Most pupils here test at Wanstead, where the same jump turns up between the quiet streets off Nightingale Lane and the A12 at Cambridge Park.
The change of road should not change you: the same mirror routine on Bygrove Street as on the Aspen Way, and the same planning behind it. Wanstead and Goodmayes are both used from here, and we drive the last few miles into whichever centre you booked.
What Changes in Tower Hamlets
The streets around Brick Lane and Spitalfields are a grid of one-ways, no-entry plates and bollards, and on Sunday much of it closes for the market. A route that worked on Tuesday afternoon does not exist on Sunday morning. That matters more here than in the rest of the borough, because the only alternatives are the A11 and Commercial Road, and neither is where you want to be sent by a wrong turn.
