There's an upside to a demanding area: you end up with mini-roundabout discipline plus reading bends and closing speeds on an open A-road, neither of which town-centre learners get much of.
What Holds Chigwell Learners Back
The A113 past the schools is two roads depending on the hour. At ten in the morning it is an open A-road you read by its bends, hedged and unhurried. Between half eight and nine, and again mid-afternoon, it is stop-start with the verges in use, and the bends stop being the problem at all.
The fair objection out here is the run to your test centre, fifteen to twenty-three minutes each way, and you are paying for the hour. So we do not shuttle. Route familiarisation belongs in the last few sessions; before that, the A113 bends and Brook Parade are where the work is.

Brook Parade is a one-way service road entered only from its southern end, so the approach has to be planned before you reach the shops. Miss the entrance and you rejoin the A113 and come back round. We use it deliberately as a planning exercise, because committing early is the same skill the High Road bends ask for.

Do lessons here go down to Grange Hill and Hainault?
